12DailyPro Convention Cancelled

After previously posting that the GPT Convention, hosted by LifeClicks LLC (which owns 12DailyPro), would continue despite hardships, the administrator of 12DailyPro has now cancelled the convention.

With less than 4 days until thousands of 12DailyPro members travel and settle in Charlotte, North Carolina, this is a major upset to the entire HYIP and auto-surf community.

The administrator posts the below at 12DailyPro’s forum and news area:

It is with a deep sense of disappointment that I must announce that the 2006 GPT Convention, that was slated to be held this weekend here in Charlotte, NC, will be cancelled due to current ongoing matters involving the freezing of our account and funds by StormPay.com.Originally, the GPT Convention was to be a gathering of internet marketing professionals who want to be learn and be motivated. Though LifeClicks LLC was serving as host, the event was never intended to focus on 12dailyPro, but on the internet marketing and promotions industry as a whole.

In spite of recent events, we had hoped to continue with our plans for the convention to provide a good educational and networking experience to attendees. We have received overwhelming responses from our members who wanted to come to show their support of our company during the ongoing dispute against StormPay and to demonstrate their concern about StormPay’s actions involving transactions having nothing to do with 12DailyPro.

However, because of this very battle there has been a growing media interest in this matter in recent days. Some in the media have twisted the purpose of the convention and in doing so have invited the potential for confrontations, civil unrest, and security risks. In addition to a media circus which it would behoove us to avoid at present, we also do not want to expose any of the attendees, the speakers, the hotel, nor any of our staff to such potentially explosive situations.

Because we may be unable to maintain effective control of the event which would prevent us from offering the positive learning and motivational experience we intended, we are concerned the convention could become a volatile event that could exacerbate current problems and possibly damage our relations with investigators. We proactively contacted and have been working with the law enforcement agents leading the investigation of recent events. It is crucial that we do nothing to undermine our cooperative relationship with the government investigators with whom we have been communicating in our efforts to resolve the current situation.

It is with great sadness that I release this news, but my legal counsel advise me that this is the best course of action for all concerned. I deeply regret any inconvenience that this may cause to prospective attendees. Please understand that cancellation of this event is in no way advantageous to LifeClicks.

We thank you all for your continued support as we endeavor in these challenging times to make decisions that are for the benefit of all, particularly our members. We will keep you informed of our next steps as we work to recover funds wrongfully held by StormPay. Your patience and support during this time is greatly appreciated.
